I was originally introduced to Herbalife by an old friend,

lan Lorenz in 1984. I didn't take the products properly

and so didn't get a result and for a long time I was convinced Herbalife wasn't for me. My mother, Olivia, bumped

into Alan in August of 1995 and told him I was at home with my 3rd baby, fatter than ever, and not doing

anything, Alan called to tell me that Herbalife was coming to South Africa and he got me excited at the concept of

working from home around my family. Although I had never worked for myself before, Alan emphasised the

simplicity of the business in using the products and attending the trainings. The added attraction was that the

company was international, so being British born but living in Cape Town, I understood immediately that I could

build my business locally as well as internationally.

I've always struggled with my weight, so the bonus of losing weight and getting more energy was fantastic. I lost

19 kgs, my energy levels increased and I felt fantastic. I immediately did a Success Builder order, knowing that at

the very least the family were all going to use the products, but was delighted to get customers in my 1st month

and make over R2000 and decided to qualify Supervisor immediately.

Alan guided me to use the Herbalife support system, and as Herbalife was only just getting started in South Africa

and the Cape Town meetings were small, he promoted a World Team School in Holland in my second month. I

started introducing family and friends immediately and did World Team on over 11,000 points in that second

month. Attending that first big event in Holland was a life defining moment. Seeing and hearing from Mark

Hughes, himself, was a gift and I made the commitment to myself that I would do Herbalife UNTIL...

I reached GET team within 2 years and have lived very comfortably on a good GET team cheque for the last 8

years. I'm blessed to have an awesome international group, so have fabulous dollar cheques, currently hitting the

$4000 per month mark. Attending the 25th Anniversary in Atlanta was another life defining moment, when I

realised I was only holding myself back by my own self imposed limitations. Knowing that Alan Lorenz was coming

to South Africa in August, spurred me into serious action and I renewed my commitment to the products and to

my team and I've just had my best 3 months in business and qualified to the Millionaire Team.

Thank you Alan for introducing me to Herbalife and Mark Hughes, and transforming me from a fat and comfortable

housewife into an international business woman! But equally importantly I thank my mother for sending Alan to

me and for my husband, Mark for taking care of the family while I've built the business.
